The Structural Engineers Foundation of Washington is pleased to announce its second FilmWorks competition, running from December 1, 2017 to March 30, 2018. Interested parties are invited to register below to receive more details. This year's theme has not yet been decided but will involve the field of structural engineering. The competition features cash prizes.
Be sure to check out "Imagine a Better World" on Vimeo, last year's FilmWorks winner. It has caught the attention of several national organizations and is currently being used to promote structural engineering across the country.
SEFW is pleased to announce the winners of its first FilmWorks Initiative! Four videos were recognized and premiered at the SEFW Donor Appreciation Meeting in April.
The first place video, "Imagine a Better World," was submitted by Luke Heath, P.E., S.E., Associate at PCS Structural Solutions in Tacoma.
The second place video “Bring Concepts to Life,” is from Cleo Pineda, a St. Martin University engineering student. Tied for third place were “The Structural Engineer” by Edison Shi, Design Engineer at HNTB in Seattle, and “Civil Engineering” by Begum Birsoz, UW engineering student and UW SEAW Chapter President.
